Biography

Barbara Mickelsen Ervin is an art educator and professional printmaker. Barbara’s artwork has received numerous awards while being displayed throughout the Southeast in various exhibitions. In addition, her artwork is a part of many private and public collections across the United States.
Although primarily a printmaker, she also uses pencil, watercolor, handmade paper and marbleized paper to create a variety of art pieces. Barbara’s work draws strongly on nature and mirrors its beauty, harmony and rhythms.
Barbara has taught art extensively at all levels from elementary to college and adult classes. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Barbara received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in Belton, South Carolina where she has lived for over 25 years.
